To be successful in the business of the creative industry requires understanding the structure of the industry as a whole. This workshop presents a broad overview of the creative industry, and explains how its various segments operate on a day-to-day basis: where monies are generated, who the key players are, how deals are made and brokered, and how to protect your interests. This workshop presents career opportunities that are available within the industry, and the knowledge one would need to achieve your goals.
This workshop is also intended to encourage critical thinking, development of business skills and extend the understanding of the fast-paced digital world of the entertainment industry. For the 2-day workshop, we’ll set a topic for discussion and debate, with the intention of exploring solutions from an entertainment business perspective.
This would be an excellent inclusion on the résumé of the attendees who are willing to pursue a career in the entertainment industry and also wish to know more about boardroom and business strategy of the industry, understanding of current industry trends and issues will give attendees more to talk about on during interviews and the confidence to apply for internships and jobs.
This won’t be another boring conference or lecture. This is going to be a hands-on meeting with entertainment industry professionals.
At the end of the workshop, 50 students (5 students per school) would have the opportunity to intern at top media & entertainment organizations.
